A message from the American Association’s Executive Director, Rev. Dr. Jeffrey R. Trexler
At last week’s Annual Business Meeting of the American Association, President Pohrer mentioned in his State of the Association Address that in addition to our efforts to help those affected by the various hurricanes that struck Florida, Texas, and Puerto Rico, we have also established a joint venture between the Federal and the American Associations to help the only hospital in St. Thomas, VI – The Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center – in their time of need.
Several of our members approached Jack and myself after the presentation and said that although they themselves are not medically trained, nor do they have contacts in the pharmaceutical industry or medical equipment industry, they still would like to make a monetary contribution to help the hospital in some way.
So, for those that requested to help in the restoration efforts, as well as others who may also wish to make a contribution, a donation form has now been set up on the American Association website. Click here to make a donation. We will see that your donation goes directly to help in the needs of the hospital.
May our prayers continue for the many who are still trying to reorganize their lives due to the devastation caused by these natural disasters. May God continue to help, guide and protect all in need and may He strengthen us and our desire to serve our brothers and sisters in His name.
