2022 Pilgrimage for Life

Although the official 2022 Pilgrimage for Life was cancelled, a smaller group of members from the American Association attended the March for Life in Washington, DC, led by the Most Reverend Edward Scharfenberger, and Pilgrimage for Life Co-Chairs, Robert and Nancy Graebe and Dr. Joseph Dutkowsky.

Members attended the Vigil Mass at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday evening. They began Friday morning with Mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church before meeting at the National Mall for a concert and rally. From there, members joined others in the March for Life up Constitution Avenue.

On Saturday evening, Association members joined together at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City to celebrate the Prayer Vigil for Life, hosted in conjunction with the Sisters of Life. The USCCB has declared that January 22nd shall be observed as a particular day of penance for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion, and of prayer for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life.

While this year’s pilgrimage was a much-reduced version of the official Pilgrimage for Life, it was a great opportunity to step out in faith and pray for the unborn and an end to abortion.
