Late Knight Karaoke moved the party to the rooftop patio of Mary Manning Walsh Nursing Home (MMW) on Tuesday, June 9. This monthly activity sent brings together Knights, Dames, Auxiliary and Volunteers with patients and staff of Mary Manning Walsh for a lively night of fun and socialization. Many residents of MMW frequently long for the company and friendship that members of our Order bring. And for those residents who do receive visitors, it is a wonderful way for families to spend time together in a social setting outside of their specific patient room. This month saw our largest group yet with over 45 residents participating!

  

Additionally, this program serves as a great entry point of service for young volunteers who may be tentative about their first time serving a medical facility. Since it was Tony Awards week, many residents sang their favorite Broadway showtune along with Knights, Dames, Volunteers, and Staff. With the Hospitaller Flag as front and center we sang and danced the night away. Join us next month, and every second Tuesday of each month bringing joy to those at Mary Manning Walsh Nursing Home.
