On Saturday, June 27, the New Jersey Area organized a Benefit Concert to raise funds for the Holy Family Hospital of Bethlehem Foundation. 

Spearheaded by G Bjorn “Gib” Delacruz, KM, the concert was held at his parish, the Church of the Sacred Heart in South Plainfield. Over 20 professionally trained musicians, including 7 parish Music Directors, volunteered their time and talent to put together a program of solo performances as well as a choral lineup based on a Decade of the Rosary, featuring 10 different musical settings of the Ave Maria.

Kate Robinson, Director of the Holy Family Hospital of Bethlehem Foundation, came up from Washington DC to attend the concert and give a talk on the current issues the Hospital is facing.

She also said, “It was so hopeful to see a group of young musicians from throughout the Diocese (and nearby) raising their voices together in faith for the families of Bethlehem.”

Over 100 people attended the concert, and more than $6000 was raised for the Hospital.
