On Wednesday, July 15, a cheerful crew from the Northeast Florida Area rolled up their sleeves to purchase, prepare, and serve a full Italian dinner at Gabriel House at Mayo Clinic. Knights and Dames joined fellow volunteers in serving salad, a hearty entrée with side dishes, and dessert to organ transplant and cancer patients in residence.

For patients and their caregivers, who would otherwise have to shop for and cook their own meals, this simple act of hospitality offers a welcome respite — a chance to enjoy a warm, home-cooked meal and a bit of comfort during a difficult time.
