Tuesday, August 18th, saw a group of the Order and friends gathering to prepare sandwich bags for the homeless. We met at St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church to pull together resources. In addition to our food, we were able to provide socks, underwear and some sneakers thanks to a generous benefaction.

Our monthly mission is to supply a sandwich bag with nibbles to the folks hanging around the New Haven Green. It is our small effort to “embrace a spirit of generosity” for the sake of others. In our prayer before and following the experience we focussed our attention on Christ who satisfies humanity’s deepest hunger.
