On August 15, Knights and Dames from the Philadelphia Area gathered at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

Members of the Order of Malta joined Knights and Dames of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre, along with many faithful from across the region, for the solemn celebration. The Mass was celebrated by Rev. Robert C. Pasley, KCHS, with Rev. Carlo Santa Teresa serving as deacon and Rev. August Taglianetti as subdeacon. The homily was preached by Rev. Francis P. Foley.

The liturgy was enhanced by Schubert’s Mass in G, performed by The Festival Chorus and Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Timothy McDonnell, with the Schola directed by Guillermo Pasarín. Their inspiring music added to the joy and reverence of the occasion as participants gathered to honor Our Blessed Mother on this important feast day.
