Members of the Order of Malta in the Missouri Area had an honored place at the Mass that marked the beatification of Archbishop Fulton Sheen on September 24. Many Knights and Dames in their robes and capes joined in the procession and took their place among around 50,000 worshippers who had come to St. Louis for the Beatification Mass in The Dome at America’s Center. Members of the Order also took part in other events that celebrated this step on Sheen’s path to sainthood and honored his legacy as a pioneer in using the latest media to defend and propagate the Faith.
