On Saturday, September 12, members of the Order of Malta’s Scranton Area gathered for their annual retreat at St. Paul’s Rectory in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The retreat welcomed members from the Scranton, Allentown, and New Jersey Areas.
This year’s retreat director was Father Thomas Looney, President of King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. King’s College is a private Catholic institution of higher education sponsored by the Congregation of Holy Cross.
The day began with Mass at St. Paul’s Church, concelebrated by Father Looney and Scranton Area Chaplain Monsignor Neil van Loon. Following Mass, participants gathered at the rectory for refreshments before Father Looney led the retreat. St. Paul’s Parish also graciously provided lunch for attendees.
Those unable to attend can view a recording of Father Looney’s retreat presentation through the following link: Watch the Retreat Recording.
