Florida – Naples Area Works Through Pandemic to Help Those in Need

02/03/2021

The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have dramatically affected our activities here in Naples Area.

A number of our hands-on service activities have been suspended. Included in this inactive situation are:

  • Meals of Hope Mobile Food Pantry: distribution of food at the River Park Community Center on the 4th Monday of each month
  • St. Matthews House: provide, cook or serve an evening meal on the 4th Thursday of each month
  • Prison Ministry: visit and provide Bibles, other devotion material, and spiritual support for inmates in the Diocese of Venice, FL

However, we are excited to have been able to restart and/or continue our work in the following service activities:

  • Power Pack Weekend Food Ministry: we pack weekend food bags on Wednesday mornings during the school year for elementary school children in Naples
  • Backpacking: we pack and provide re-entry backpacks for victims of human trafficking in Lee County
  • Respect Life: we pray the Rosary at 8:45 am every Monday in front of Planned Parenthood in Naples
