Newark Archdiocese Hospitaller Troy Simmons has requested a few volunteers to move food into Mercy House’s newest building in Hackensack. Mercy House is a ministry of the Archdiocese of Newark that is part of the Respect Life Office, offering long-term support to expectant mothers, individuals dealing with addiction, or those in abusive relationships. The Order has financially supported Mercy House and wants to continue to be supportive of their efforts.

Mercy House is being expanded from its facility in Newark to an additional new facility in Hackensack. Cheryl Riley, whom many of you know as the Director of the Respect Life Program for the Archdiocese of Newark, has asked the Order to assist her in moving food items from a food pantry in Hackensack to Mercy House’s new facility in Hackensack. Cheryl will let us use Mercy House’s van to move the items.

We have need for a few volunteers to help move items from 9:00 to 11:30 A.M.. This will occur right before the Order’s monthly ID program at St. Ann’s in Newark.

This is just a few days away, so please email our Mercy House point of contact, John Valeri,Esq., KM, at your earliest convenience if you are available.
