Changing Rooms

For the convenience of our Members, two suites are available on Friday, November 15th from 11:00 AM until Midnight at the Westin New York Grand Central Hotel for use as changing rooms between the afternoon and evening events. There will be a security guard in each room who will allow you access upon identifying yourself as a member of the Order of Malta by presenting photo identification. Keys will not be given out at the front desk. Only the security guards will have keys to the rooms.

Where to Change/Vest and Assemble for Investiture Mass

REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR CAPES/ROBES/DECORATIONS

NEW KNIGHTS AND NEW DAMES ARRIVE BY 1:45 PM: Enter through Parish House and proceed downstairs to the large conference room to change into your capes/robes. (14 East 51st Street (Located between Madison and Fifth Avenues)

ALL CHAPLAINS (INCLUDING NEW) ARRIVE BY 1:45 PM: Enter through the Parish House and proceed to Deacon’s Sacristy to vest. (14 East 51st Street (Located between Madison and Fifth Avenues) 

DIGNITARIES ARRIVE BY 2 PM: Enter through Main Church and proceed to the Lady Chapel to vest. Once vested, please proceed to the statue of Pieta where the masters of ceremonies will position you for the procession. (Located on 5th Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets)

BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND AREA CHAIRS ARRRIVE BY 2 PM: Because the Board of Directors and Area Chairs will not be participating in the procession, they enter through the Main Church and should go directly to their reserved seating area on the right side of the Cathedral in front of the pulpit and change in the pews and not in the Lady Chapel. (Located on 5th Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets)

ALL OTHER MEMBERS ARRIVE BY 2 PM: Enter through Main Church and proceed to reserved seating area and change in the pews. (Located on 5th Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets)

EVERYONE ELSE SHOULD ENTER THROUGH THE MAIN ENTRANCE OF THE CATHEDRAL AND ARRIVE BY 2 PM: (Located on 5th Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets)

Dress Code for Reception & Annual Dinner

The dress code for the Reception and Dinner is white tie and black tails for men, and evening dress for women. All Members of the Order wear the large decoration of the Order of Malta.

Individual Portraits

Studio Eleven Productions will be available during the Cocktail Reception for those who would like to take individual portraits which will be available online to view and purchase. Staff members will be present to direct you to the location of the photographer.
