02/22/2018

The Southern, Northern, and Western Connecticut Area teamed up with the Westchester Area on February 10th for an inspirational afternoon to celebrate World Day of Prayer for the Sick and the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, at St. Aloysius Parish in New Canaan, CT. Reverend Bob Dunn, Ch.M., encouraged the congregation of more than 40 Malades and Caregivers, as well as members of the Order, with his insightful homily stressing how our struggles and hardships bring us ever closer to God.

A lovely reception of refreshments and fellowship followed for all after the Mass and the Anointing.

On February 11th, the Connecticut Area hosted a second World Day of Prayer for the sick and Celebration of Our Lady of Lourdes at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Bridgeport, CT.  Accompanied by Blessed Sacrament’s Gospel choir, the Mass and Anointing were a joyous and loving celebration of the miraculous wonders of our Lord.

A luncheon was held for all immediately following the Mass. Members of the Order of Malta prepared and served the Parishioners of Blessed Sacrament and were sure to supply lots of extra food for parishioners to take home and share with family who could not make it.
