The Pierre Toussaint Scholarship Fund provides scholarships, mentorship support, and advisement to college student-leaders of diverse backgrounds from the Archdiocese of New York. Students are chosen based upon their strong academic performance, active participation in their parish and school communities, demonstrated service to others, and sound leadership ability. The Pierre Toussaint Medallion is awarded by the Archdiocese of New York, to distinguished persons in recognition of their demonstrated leadership and special merits in support of life, human rights, social justice, economic advancement, spiritual values and quality education for all the people of God—locally and throughout the global community.
