Knights and Dames of the Vero Beach Area came together for a Mass at Holy Cross Church to celebrate the presentation of medals to three members in their Area. Three Dames from the Vero Beach Area were awarded medals for their many years of service in the Order of Malta, American Association. Most Rev. Gerald M. Barbarito, Bishop of Palm Beach, presented each medal and certificate, signed by President Peter J. Kelly, to the following Dames:

• Anne Louise Strachan, DM, for 15 years;
• Meg Lyons, DM, for 20 years; and
• Peggy Lyons, DM, for 25 years.
