On the evening of the Solemnity of Saint Joseph on March 19th, members in the lower Hudson Valley region of the Upstate New York Area and guests came together for Holy Mass and a meeting at Saint Martin de Porres Church in Pougkeepsie.

Father Guiseppe Maria Siniscalchi, C.F.R., offered Mass and spoke at a meeting that followed about the ministry of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal in Newburgh. Area Knight Dr. Al Gruner spoke about his experience participating in a First Saturday with the Friars in Newburgh and  the opportunity for members to come together to assist the Friars in serving the poor in that community. Area Knight John Donohue spoke about the prison ministry in which he and his wife, Dame Jennifer Van Tuyl, serve and about the great need for additional volunteers to conduct Bible study programs in area prisons.
