Connecticut Area members continued their annual Thanksgiving food drive in response to Pope Francis’ request for the 2nd annual World Day of the Poor. They have also continued participating in the Area’s many feeding ministries, aside from this special event, which include preparing meals for the homeless at New Covenant Center in Stamford and The Thomas Merton Center in Bridgeport.
Members also worked this month with women in crisis pregnancy at Malta House to provide sandwiches for the poor (pictured above) who are served at Open door shelter in Norwalk and also made PB&J sandwiches with students at St. Catherine Center for Special Needs that were delivered to the hungry at the Thomas Merton Center.
