On Saturday, May 18th, Knights, Dames, Auxiliary, and volunteers from the New Jersey Area volunteered their time at St. Ann’s Soup Kitchen in Newark. They served 143 meals to the residents of the soup kitchen, as well as helping those in need through their ID Program. This program assists the homeless, poor and recently-paroled in obtaining official Essex County ID Cards, without which they cannot take jobs or receive government benefits. Since its inception in 2013, the Program has helped almost 1,000 people obtain IDs.
