Missouri Area celebrates World Day of the Poor

11/24/2019

Members of the Missouri Area took part in a variety of activities, including some monthly activities, in honor of the 3rd World Day of the Poor. Below is a list of the activities local Knights and Dames participated in to celebrate.

Knights and Dames delivered the Saturday meal to the Rosati House in St. Louis Missouri. The Rosati House is a halfway house managed by St. Patrick’s Center that serves the homeless and the poor.

Members “adopted” homeless mothers and their families for Christmas at Our Lady’s Inn. Knight and Dames will purchase and deliver items requested for approximately 30 poor and homeless unwed mothers the agency serves. They also prepared and delivered 50 “essentials” bags for these mothers in need.

Knights and Dames prepared and delivered casseroles for the homeless and poor serviced by St. Patrick’s Center. They also drove the building and consecration of a chapel for the homeless and staff of St Patrick’s center.
