Green Bay Area celebrates the World Day of the Poor

12/03/2019

Members of the Green Bay Area help the sick, the poor and those in need through monthly volunteer opportunities offered at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Champion, Wisconsin. On the last Saturday of every month, the Shrine offers Mass and a special healing service for pilgrims in need of physical and spiritual healing. Local Knights and Dames are on hand to assist pilgrims who visit the Shrine for such healing.

They open and staff the First Aid Center, assist pilgrims with physical limitations to get around the Shrine grounds, assist with liturgical celebrations serving as lector, usher, Mass server, Rosary leader, and filling any other related needs. After Mass and Healing Service, Area members host and serve a complimentary lunch to all pilgrims. An essential component our members contribute to our Saturday Service is praying for those pilgrims in need of healing.
