Local Area Chaplain, Deacon Jack Shea, ChDD, and Area Chair, William Haney, KM, continue to arrange weekly food drop-offs for Mother Teresa Sisters. Every Monday, Knights and Dames pack an SUV with food, donated by Stop and Shop, and deliver it to the Sisters, who pray and manage a food bank in the Bronx. 

The Area is also excited to return to the Bronx P.O.T.S. (Part of the Solution) food bank for regular volunteer service. Local members, William Knowles, KM, and MaryPat Hughes, DM, are helping to bag hundreds of food packages, of which over 200 are distributed to those in need at the food bank on a daily basis. Each orange bag is stocked with a week supply of nutritious food.
