On Sunday, September 12th, members of the Michigan Area celebrated Our Lady of Victory/Our Lady of Philermo with Mass with the Maltese community in Detroit.

Mass was led by Rev. Msgr. Dr. Charles Kosanke, Chair of the Board of Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan, at Most Holy Trinity Church. The church was founded in 1846.

Knights and Dames were invited to process behind the statue of Our Lady of Victory that was being dedicated at the Mass. The statue was produced in Malta and shipped to Detroit for this special occasion.

Ten Knights and Dames and a number of Auxiliary and Candidates in Formation were in attendance at Mass and the reception that followed  at the Maltese American Benevolent Society Club. This was a very special day and the Order of Malta was overwhelmed by the excitement of the community and their hospitality to our members.
