On Monday, December 6th, the Feast of Saint Nicholas, members of the New York City Area gathered for their regular First Monday Mass. Mass was celebrated by Msgr. Douglas Mathers, ChM, and concelebrant, Fr. Gabriel Gillen, OP, ChD.
After Mass, Fr. Gabriel offered words of reflection for Advent, with a particular focus on the connections between the crib and the cross.
In memory of our beloved chaplain Fr. John McGuire, OP, ChC, who passed away five years ago this month, Fr. Gabriel read a passage from one of Fr. McGuire’s favorite T.S. Elliott poems.
