On Sunday, December 4th, New York City Area members and friends got into the Christmas spirit at the Brick Presbyterian Church Christmas Caroling and Park Avenue Tree Lighting. A few thousand carolers of all faiths and ages filled Park Avenue outside the church for this annual event, which began in 1945 in memory of those who gave their lives serving our nation in battle.
The program featured all of the classic Christmas carols. In the middle of the event, a bugler played Taps to honor the war dead, which was followed by a prayer and the lighting of the Christmas trees all the way down Park Avenue.
In addition to the singing and fellowship, our carolers enjoyed gingerbread cookies and hot mulled cider. Join us next year and experience one of New York City’s most endearing events.
