NYC Area Requests Supplies for Migrants

02/09/2023

As I am sure you are aware, migrants from the Southern Border have been arriving to the United States in large numbers, with more than 30,000 arriving in New York City over the last year. In most cases, these men, women, and children arrive with nothing but the clothes on their backs, a harsh condition during these cold winter months in NYC.

In partnership with our chaplain, Rev. Joseph Cavoto, ChM, and the Church of St. Francis, we will be collecting donations of warm winter clothing to distribute to migrants in need throughout the winter season. We have created an Amazon storefront that is preloaded with items you can purchase and have sent directly to Fr. Cavoto at the Church of St. Francis. These items include socks, winter coats, snow boots, and warm layers like sweatshirts and thermal clothing.

Please click here to purchase these much needed items that will keep our Lords, the sick and the poor, warm and comfortable as they adjust to this new and challenging chapter of their lives. Please note that you must order items through the link above and make sure you select the Gift Registry Address, “Church of Saint Francis Attn: Fr. Joseph Cavoto” at checkout in order for them to be sent to the correct address.

We thank you in advance for your generosity and assistance in helping those truly in need.
