Faith That Works in Northeast Wisconsin Area

04/14/2023

Members of the Northeast Wisconsin Area were on hand for Mass and a recognition luncheon on March 30th to honor and congratulate Dame Cindy Van Asten, one of four recipients of the Green Bay Diocese’s 2023 Faith That Works award. Bishop Ricken presented Cindy with the award that recognizes those who integrate their Catholic faith into their workplaces, parishes, and communities.

Cindy says Cursillo was “life changing” for her and she continues to be involved with the movement. She has introduced others to Cursillo, served on the secretariat, (leadership team for Cursillo Green Bay) and helped with food for Cursillo weekends.

Cindy is a partner and consultant in M3 Insurance which was founded in 2005. She has spent the last 18 years helping people understand and navigate the complexities of their health insurance coverage. She boldly shares her faith with coworkers and clients.

Dame Cindy, who joined the Order of Malta in 2018, engages in the Northeast Wisconsin Area’s works at St. Gianna Clinic and the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help. Employing her strong Catholic faith, her skills, talents and abilities, Cindy is able to educate people, pray with them and help navigate around roadblocks to health care access for them, a vital need in today’s complex health care world.

We enjoyed celebrating this very special event with Cindy, her family and friends, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to her. We couldn’t be more proud of you and your accomplishments Cindy!
