On Saturday, April 29th, the New Jersey Area and its Defense of the Faith Committee hosted Fr. Gerald Murray, JCD, ChM, for a talk on his book Calming the Storm: Navigating the Crises Facing the Catholic Church and Society. Fr. Murray is a Pastor, Canon Lawyer, Author, a frequent EWTN commentator, and a Magistral Chaplain of the Order of Malta in the New York City Area.
He spoke not only on the attacks both against and within the Church, but also on how we should frequent the Sacraments and devote ourselves more in prayer to grow in greater love of our neighbor. During the Q&A that followed, many people expressed their gratitude to the Order for putting together a talk for active Catholics to attend and meet each other. All felt edified after the talk and are looking forward to more speakers to help develop our Charism of Defense of the Faith.
The Area also thanks the Pastor, Fr. Thomas Fallone, JD, and the parishioners of the Church of St. Thomas More, Morristown, for allowing us to use the parish to host the talk.”
