On the evening of Tuesday, August 15th, it was a privilege for Knights and Dames from the Philadelphia and the New Jersey Areas to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary together! The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass took place at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia, with Rev. Robert C. Pasley, KCHS, Rector Mater Ecclesiae Roman Catholic Church, as the principal celebrant.
Clergy attending in choro represented local and surrounding dioceses, as well as some clergy who came from afar. Inspiring music was provided by The Choral Mass Orchestra and Choir conducted by Dr. Timothy McDonnell, with the Schola Directed by Guillermo Pasarin and included using Haydn’s Missa in Angustiis, sometimes and “Lord Nelson Mass.”
Attendees were particularly gratified to have several areas from our Order represented for this sublime and moving Mass, and members of the Order of Malta were also delighted to be joined by members of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.
