Eastern Connecticut Area’s First Area Picnic

Richard Feil, KM, Area Chair, hosted the Eastern Connecticut Area’s first Area picnic for a total of 30 members and guests on Saturday, August 26th.

This delightful event was held in the Pavilion at the Valley Shore YMCA in Westbrook. The Valley Shore YMCA was a recipient of this year’s Area Grants Program for their pantry vegetable garden. Members supplied some of the picnic foods served alongside hot entrees by a local favorite family Italian restaurant.

Local members, Mark and Cherith Sullivan, presented the details for the 9th Annual Lourdes in a Day services on Saturday, September 16th in West Hartford and distributed materials for delivery to member locations.

Updates were given on a few key Area ministries, including Palliative Care and food pantries. A very special spiritual concert, Array of Hope, was also announced for Saturday, October 14th at the Garde Theatre in New London, hosted by members from Blessed Sacrament Parish Tolland with co-sponsor, the Diocese of Norwich.
