The Archdiocese of Hartford hosted a Welcome Mass for the newly appointed Co-Adjutor Archbishop Christopher Coyne at the Cathedral of St. Joseph on Oct. 9, 2023, actually the feast day of Our Lady of Champion.
Members of the Eastern CT Area were privileged to participate in the Liturgy with members of the Holy Sepulchre and the Federal Association from Hartford. Christophe Cardinal Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio to the US, presented the Papal Bull from His Holiness Pope Francis with the official Co-Adjutor appointment of Archbishop Coyne to the Celebrant Archbishop Blair and a multitude of clergy. Concelebrants of the huge beautiful Liturgy included all three Connecticut Diocesan Conventional Chaplains of the Order of Malta: Bishop Emeritus Peter Rosazza, Bishop Frank Caggiano, and Bishop MIchael Cote.
In deep appreciation, we extend the sincere greetings and full service of the American Association; in particular, from the Eastern CT Area, to His Excellency. (Several other KMs & DMs were seated for Mass and missed the attached photo.)
