Mary Tucker, an Affiliate member of the Order of Malta Southeast Florida Area and Lead Catholic Volunteer in Prison Ministry and Faith and Character Program Coordinator at Lake City Correctional Institution, Lake City Florida has been bringing the healing power of prayer to the incarcerated for many years. Pictured with Mary and Fr. Robert Hoffman are seven of the nine inmates, all of whom completed a 1,000 rosary devotion to our Blessed Mother. Each inmate received a letter of commendation and a Malta “Certificate of Recognition” for completing this program, which usually takes well over a year to finish. It should be noted, Richard Houart, prayed 1,950 rosaries over a period of two years. Including inmates not pictured, the recipients were:
