On Wednesday January 17th, 30 NYC Area Members, Auxiliary and friends braved the cold temperatures and distributed food and winter clothing to the homeless and less fortunate in a Malta Walks in midtown Manhattan. Our volunteers met at the St. Patrick’s Cathedral Parish House, where Father Enrique Salvo, ChM, the Rector of the Cathedral, led the group in prayer before the volunteers made sandwiches and assembled bags which also included winter hats, gloves and socks. 

The group then headed out in teams to distribute the bags to the needy. Afterwards, cheer and fellowship were shared at a local pub. Special thanks to Father Salvo for his presence and to Mercedes de Guardiola, DM, the NYC Area Auxiliary Chair, for organizing this very successful Malta Walks.
