Philadelphia Area Members Participate in Lenten Day of Reflection

02/21/2024

Last Saturday, local members of the American Association and Federal Association joined one another for a powerful and inspirational day of reflection as Lent commences.   We convened at the International Institute for Culture’s Ivy Hall, Overbrook, Philadelphia, and were blessed to have an inspirational day, led by Order of Malta Chaplain, Father Matthew Brody, Pastor of Saint Richard of Chichester, South Philadelphia. Father Brody gave a moving presentation that focused upon the fouth beatitude, “Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for Justice, for they will be satisfied.”   After inviting comments and inspirations, an engaging discussion ensued, which was fulfilling and thoughtful. An opportunity for confessions for all interested was followed by the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, and then a modest but delicious luncheon was served where attendees had the opportunity to share time together, talk about life, insights, and about upcoming events.
