On Wednesday February 28th, the NYC Area conducted a very successful launch of Malta Youth Walks. Students ranging from 8th to 11th Grades, along with Parents and Mentors, met at St. Patrick’s Parish House. There, the group made sandwiches and prepared bags with food, water and winter hats, gloves and socks.  Then the group split up into two teams to distribute the bags to the homeless in midtown Manhattan.  There was great spirit and camaraderie during the event and the NYC Area greatly appreciates the willingness of these young students to perform this important service to the poor.  Malta Youth Walks will be held regularly on the second Wednesday of each month.
