St. John Committee Hosts Spring Knights Fundraiser for NYC Area Hands-on Works

On Friday, April 26th, the New York City Area’s Dames and Knights of the St. John Committee held their first-ever Spring Knights at Spring Place, hosting 300 guests for drinks and dancing. The evening supported the Order’s hands-on work in New York City serving the most vulnerable among us — including handing out food and clothing to the homeless, visiting with the children and young adults with profound neurological impairments at Mother Cabrini Specialty Hospital for Children, and serving warm meals to the residents at Mary Manning Walsh and Terence Cardinal Cooke, many of whom are battling Alzheimer’s, AIDS, and Huntington’s.

Guests wrote cards for the disabled youth the Order serves at Mother Cabrini and Malta Camp USA before hearing remarks from St. John Committee Chair Mercedes de Guardiola and Area Chairs Steve Bujno and Eric Vitale.
