At the conclusion of the Path to Peace Foundation Gala, which honored Grand Master Fra’ John Dunlap, members of the NYC Area handed out 500 hygiene kits to gala guests, for distribution to area homeless and underserved. The Path to Peace Foundation supports the works of the Holy See Permanent Mission to the United Nations. Earlier in the week, NYC Area members, including Father Joseph Cavoto, OFM, ChM, met at St. Francis of Assisi parish to organize and create the kits.

Each bag included a washcloth, socks, body wash, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, hand cream, granola bars, a Dunkin’ gift card, and an Order prayer card which included the Beatitudes. Bags for women also included feminine hygiene products. The NYC Area was honored to have the opportunity to participate in this community expression of the Order’s service to the sick and the poor. We also extend our congratulations to the Grand Master on his well-deserved recognition from the Path to Peace Foundation.
