On Sunday, July 21st, Illinois Area Knights, Dames, and family volunteers returned to Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Mary’s Home to host its Summer Cookout for 70 residents and sisters. We were especially grateful for the warm welcome and opportunity to serve and chat with this special community. Area Chaplain, Monsignor Dempsey led us in prayer, with each volunteer playing an important role, from Grill Master and Drink Captain to preparing meals and serving the wonderful residents. We had a great time and understand the afternoon was enjoyed by all.
