On Saturday, August 3rd, Knights and Dames gathered for Holy Mass and our monthly meeting and service project. Many members of the Philadelphia Area gathered for Saturday Salve Mass in honor of Mary under the Appellation Our Lady of Good Counsel, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Philadelphia. Father Matthew Phelan, O. de M., pastor, was the principal celebrant, and Father Justin Beerfeld, O. de M., parochial vicar, concelebrated.

We shared a scrumptious brunch and held a short meeting to discuss current events, upcoming events for the Philadelphia Area Order of Malta, and future planning. Then after prayer, we once again donned our aprons, rolled up our sleeves, and we got busy doing the Lord’s work, as we made delicious meals for shut-ins. Several Knights and Dames gave feedback about the impact that these meals have had, and relayed the kind words of our brothers and sisters who benefit from this work.
