On Thursday, September 26th, Knights, Affiliates, and male friends of the Order gathered at The Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral to pray Evening Prayer together. The twelve men were led by Fr. Anthanasius Murphy, O.P. who taught a simple Gregorian Mode, which quickly caught on. All the men began to sing some of the prayer together in the great monastic tradition.
After Evening Prayer, the group went across the street to the Parish House for a barbeque. This new tradition will take place at 6:30 pm on the fourth Thursday of every month and rotate between Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn.
Starting on October 24th, a Dames and Ladies Holy Hour led by different groups of religious Sisters will begin as a regular part of the NYC Area’s effort to increase spiritual offerings to members and new friends. See you October 24!
