The Connecticut – North East Area is very grateful to President Kenneth R. Craig, GCM; Executive Director Deacon Dr. Jeffrey Trexler, ChDD; Association Hospitaller Anne Peach, DM – Association Grants Committee Chair; and the Association Grants Committee for their allocation of 2024 funds. Our grant ministries touched most of our seven state counties in the Diocese of Hartford and Norwich.
The recipients who have totally spent their 2024 grants include Lourdes in a Day Spirituality, pro-life/abuse centers, and pantry/meal centers as listed below. Their photos are displayed in this Area Grant gallery for the following venues with years of support. Individual members contributed time and generously to many other venues such as: prison ministry, retreat centers, St. Vincent de Paul places, Holy Apostles College & Seminary, Ukrainian & Melkite churches, and Caribbean missions.
Area grant recipients include: September 13th Lourdes in a Day in West Hartford, Birthright in Greater Westbrook, St. Gianna Resource Center in New Haven, Cornerstone Foundation in Vernon, Community Meal Center in New London by St. Patrick Church Outreach monthly in Mystic, 5th Monday Malta Meals at Christ the King in Old Lyme/Saybrook, Valley Shore YMCA Partners to Grow Garden in Westbrook weekly for the Shoreline Soup Kitchen and Pantry at St. Mark Church.
