Over the past few weeks, members of the Southeast Florida Area have been busy distributing rosaries at locations in and around Miami. Continuing the Order’s mission of service and spiritual support to the sick and the poor, rosaries with pamphlets in both English and Spanish were given out at the following locations.
Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Liberty City
Historically African American, the diverse parish serves as a comprehensive center for the community’s spiritual, educational, recreational and social needs and demonstrates a special commitment toward youth.
Seafarers’ House Chapel, Port Everglades
The Chapel provides a safe and welcoming space throughout the year where mariners can connect with God, their communities, and their families.
Stella Maris Catholic Seafarers’ Center, Port of Miami
The Center is part of an international agency of the Catholic Church that provides pastoral care to seafarers, seaport workers, and their families. It is located at the bustling Port of Miami, which is one of the largest seaports in the USA for cruise ships, cargo ships and tanker ships.
Homestead Air Force Reserve Base Chapel, Homestead
The Air Force Base Chapel provides a blessed and welcoming space for military personnel and their families throughout the year where service members can worship God on the base when on and off duty.
Mission Santa Anna, Naranja
Saint Ann Mission serves migrant and immigrant farm workers in the southern parts of Miami-Dade County. The mission provides an array of services to the estimated 25,000 to 40,000 laborers working in the area’s fields and nurseries. While the majority of workers live in Homestead, Florida City Leisure City areas, the rest live in labor camps.
