On Saturday, March 15th, over 30 members of the New Jersey Area gathered for a Mass, a Lenten Recollection, and Lunch hosted by Fr. Owen Moran, ChM at St. Vincent Martyr Church in Madison, NJ.

The Mass was concelebrated by fellow NJ Chaplains Msgr. Sylvester Cronin, ChM, and Fr. Alex Nevitt, ChD, assisted by seminarian Carlos Vargas. Immediately following Mass, the members were assembled into 4 different groups to discuss several thought-provoking themes for us to consider during Lent.

While confessions were heard by Msgr. Cronin and Fr. Alex, Fr. Moran then led us through the Stations of the Cross, recollecting themes that we face as members in our daily lives or where we strive to lighten the heavy burdens of others through our acts of mercy, both great and small. A light lunch was finally enjoyed by all at the Parish Rectory nearby.
