From the Palm Beaches to Miami Dade County to the very Southernmost point of the continental United States, the Order of Malta’s Southeast Florida Area continued its Rosary Outreach Ministry with a visit to The Basilica of St. Mary Star of the Sea in Key West. Built in 1852, the Basilica was the first Catholic Church to be opened in South Florida. The visit was made possible by the Pastor, Rev. Christopher Marino, V.F., Chaplain of the Order of Malta Cuban Association (pictured in front of the Basilica).
Col. Marc A. Garcia KM attended two Masses one for the Hispanic migrant community and the other for the Haitian migrants. Assisted by Rev. Félière Louis C.S., Parochial Vicar, Order of Malta Rosaries were distributed at the end of each Mass.
