On Friday, April 4th, members and friends of the Vero Beach Area gathered at St. Helen’s Parish for a meaningful evening of prayer, fellowship, and service. The group prayed the Stations of the Cross, shared a meal of soup, and worked together to assemble 70 “Blessing Bags” for the poor and sick in Vero Beach.
Each bag was filled with ponchos, oral care products, hats, sunglasses, Chapstick, peanut butter crackers, socks, washcloths, a card on the meaning of the Malta Cross, a Dunkin’ gift card, and other necessities. A special thank-you to Laura McGarry, DM, for planning and hosting the event, as well as for providing the meal.
