The North East Connecticut Area’s Affiliate Chair gathered a fantastic group of local members on Saturday, June 7th from 5 of the 7 Area counties, as far away as the NW and NE corners of Connecticut. Meals are funded for 100 needy at the downtown Amistad Catholic Worker safe facility, in part from an Association Local Area Project Support Grant and other donations. The crew prepared food at the St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Church in the heart of New Haven, including lunch bags with sandwiches, fruit, snack bags, and fresh baked mini Danish. Trays of hot pasta and salad were also cooked in the Church kitchen. The facility is very grateful for the regular support of the Affiliate Chair and volunteers.
