Working under the direction of soup kitchen Chef/Manager Dominic French, Michigan Area members prepared hot meals for those in need. St. Leo’s Soup Kitchen has roots going back to the early 1900s. Once located in the basement of St. Leo’s Church, the kitchen is now housed in the People’s Community Church on Woodward Avenue. St. Leo’s Soup Kitchen serves about 30,000 lunches annually to the hungry, isolated, and lonely in the community.
