Despite the rain on Wednesday, August 20th, members of the NYC Area, Auxiliary, and friends gathered at St. Patrick’s Cathedral to prepare for their monthly Malta Walks. After praying together the Order of Malta Daily Prayer, volunteers prepared 50 Malta Walks bags filled with sandwiches, toiletries, lip balm, electrolytes and toothbrushes donated graciously by one of our members for the poor and sick in midtown Manhattan while engaging in lively conversations. The group then set out toward Lexington Avenue towards Grand Central station to distribute the bags to those in need before gathering at a nearby Irish pub for a drink enjoying each other’s company.
