The South West Connecticut Area joined with the Missionaries of Charity on Sunday, September 14th, to bring comfort and care to the poor and sick of Bridgeport. Bags of critical supplies were distributed to the unhoused on the city streets, offering a small measure of dignity and support. This day also marked the launch of a new partnership with the Missionaries of Charity to serve the residents of Park City Residential Care Home.
Two volunteers visited with the residents, sharing small bags of essential supplies and beautiful fresh flowers generously donated by Soar and lovingly prepared by Ginger Smith. Each flower arrangement carried the message “You are Loved,” something that everyone appreciated, and they were gifted to the residents after a lovely rosary was prayed together.
