On Sunday, October 12th, St. Vincent Martyr Roman Catholic Church in Madison officially launched its Special Needs Ministry, a heartfelt initiative dedicated to welcoming and celebrating individuals with special needs. Moving forward, the 12:00 PM Mass on the second Sunday of each month will be specially dedicated to this community.
The inaugural Mass drew attendees from across the state, with several members of the special needs community actively participating in the liturgy—serving as readers, gift bearers, and altar servers. In a particularly touching moment, Fr. Owen Moran invited the group onto the sanctuary during the Consecration, creating a deeply moving and inclusive experience for all present.
New Jersey Area Knights Tom O’Rourke and Joseph McGovern played instrumental roles in organizing and launching this ministry, which is already off to a strong and inspiring start.
