The Northeast Florida Area recently completed its final food delivery to Community Cenacolo, using grant funds to support two women’s houses: Our Lady of Hope House and the St. Maria Goretti House. The delivery provided much-needed food provisions and was warmly received by the residents.
During the visit, three Sisters from Comunita Cenacolo traveled from Italy and joined the community for a meaningful time of Adoration and Reflection. Among those present was Kerry, a former resident of the St. Maria Goretti House, who has since served in Italy and Africa. She answered a calling to religious life and received her veil this past summer. Kerry now lives in Italy with the Sisters of the Resurrection and is remembered fondly by many for her musical talents and songwriting.
The Sisters of the Resurrection offered compassionate guidance and fellowship to the women of both houses, creating a beautiful moment of connection and spiritual support. Community Cenacolo currently operates 72 houses across 20 countries, along with mission houses in Latin America and Africa that serve orphans and abandoned children. The St. Augustine area is privileged to host and support three of these houses.
